Our motorcycle excursions brought us to this wacky little dwelling at Basian Caves, which is located along Taiwan’s Eastern Coastline on Highway 11.
Note: Please see my comment below in reference to the Buddhist swastika on the front gate.

We’re back from a lovely long weekend in Kenting. This was our first journey to Kenting National Park in Southern Taiwan. We met up with some friends from work on Saturday afternoon at the High Speed Rail Station in Banciao. Our tickets cost us $1460 NT each.

John and I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Kenting National Park over the long weekend. We were on the go 24/7 and we’re absolutely bushed. I couldn’t resist posting these beach pictures though.

We were heading home on the bike the other day and were crossing a bridge, when I noticed some extremely bright lights on the far bank. For us to even notice a bunch of extra lights in the neon world of Taipei is pretty rare, so we figured we’d better see what all the fuss [...]

The Grand Hotel. Taipei, Taiwan.
If I had my choice of accomodations in Taipei, I’d definitely stay at the magestic and opulent Grand Hotel. Perched atop Yuanshan mountain, it lends a magnificent view across Taipei Basin and the city of Taipei. The Grand Hotel is one of Taiwan’s best-loved and most recognizable [...]
